UNIVERSAL MOUNTING SYSTEM
SwimEasy is one of the only solar pool heating systems designed to be compliant with home construction codes.
Traditional mounts fit snugly to the collector, allowing no flexibility for the collector to move as the material expands and contracts throughout the day. Collectors restricted by these mounts would bind at each anchor point causing additional and unnecessary stresses to the collector and roof penetrations, leading to increases in product failures.
How Does SwimEasy Solve This? The Universal Mounting System!
The roof mounts are specially engineered to be placed anywhere along the width of the header. This enables the mounts to be anchored directly into roof rafters, adding stability to the panel array.
Secondly, the base of each mount cradles the header, lifting it slightly off the roof. The top secures snugly into the mount base, allowing the panel to be installed easily. This two-piece, “free floating” design permits your panels to expand and contract without causing stress to the panel, the anchor points, or your roof.

SwimEasy uses today’s most advanced technology to create a single-piece, over-molded header. The header is the main conduit that carries your pool’s water to and from the absorber surface. Traditionally, headers are welded to the absorber. Welds tend to naturally weaken over time with the normal stress of expansion and contraction of day-to-day use.
During the manufacturing of SwimEasy panels, raw material is forced into a mold. This material is under intense pressure and high heat as it flows into the mold, directly over the absorber. The result is a solid, one-piece panel with virtually no manufacturing variances. There is more to SwimEasy’s molded header than durability. It is your pool water’s expressway, and traffic jams are not allowed!
Because the header is molded directly around the absorber tubes, there are no barriers, so water freely exits the header into each individual tube. Simple welding, or other manufacturing methods, can block the flow of water significantly at this point, which in turn reduces the amount of heat delivered to your pool. Flow restrictions also add back pressure to the pool’s entire filtration system and can reduce its overall life expectancy. Simply put – the more water that can flow through your heating system, the more heat that will be transferred to your pool.
FLEXIBLE ZIP JOINT SYSTEM
Innovative zip joints allow for vertical expansion and contraction, increasing durability and reducing degradation.

These flexible zip joints allow for vertical expansion and contraction; critical for applications where a tree or other shadow-causing element, like chimneys or roof lines, may partially shade the collectors as the sun’s angle changes. Flexible joints eliminate stresses caused by natural temperature variances between panel sections by allowing the panels to move along the joint freely.
Additionally, unlike traditional bonding methods – actual welding of the plastic that can pinch or puncture the absorber surface – there are no manufacturing variances with SwimEasy flexible joints!

Hold-Down Strapping: Fastens solar pool panels to a supporting surface (roof or rack) and keeps them secure.

For normal / low wind climates, three (3) rows of strapping are recommended per panel.
For high-wind climates, five (5) rows of strapping are recommended per panel.
Option To Include Premium Pentair Valves: ("Valves Included?" Option)
You have the choice of either including, or not including, a full set of valves necessary for completing the plumbing connections from your solar pool heating panels to your pool's pump & filtration system. This package of Premium Pentair Pool Valves has been bundled together to provide you with a complete set of the best valves you can get (should you choose to include them).
If you are installing a system for the first time, these valves will be needed to complete the plumbing connection from your solar panels to your pool's pump and filtration system. If you are replacing an existing system, these valves may already be in place, and new ones would then not be needed.
Generally Speaking:
For new installations (first time installs): Valves will be needed.
For replacing an old/existing system: Valves not required.
If you choose to include valves, you will receive a full set of Premium Pentair CPVC Optimum positive-seal pool valves. These are top of the line valves that provide a lifetime of superior performance and have excellent flow characteristics for a high flow rate, ideal for maximizing the performance and efficiency of your solar pool heating system.
A 3-port diverter valve is manually adjusted to turn solar on and off. Two isolation valves are used to completely shut off solar for maintenance and winterization (prevents water from entering the solar panels). The check valve is used to prevent water from flowing backwards through your pump & filter. Includes premium Pentair lube-free valve’s, 2″-2.5″ CPVC.
If you choose to include valves, you will receive the following:
(1) Pentair 3-Port Solar Valve w/ Drain Down, CPVC, 2″-2.5″
A few different variables should be considered when selecting a solar pool heating system to match your swimming pool. The primary factors are; your location (climate), pool size (surface area), and heating goals (how long your looking to extend your swimming season). Understanding exactly what your goals are will help determine how many panels you need.
Solar pool heating systems are sized based on the surface area of your swimming pool, rather than its volume. This is because the primary source of heat loss occurs through evaporation at the surface. If you have a geometrically shaped pool, this calculation is quite easy. If however, your swimming pool is a "freeform" shape, or a "kidney" shape, this calculation can be a bit more difficult. For pools matching this second classification, satellite mapping can be used to help measure the surface area of your swimming pool.
Generally speaking, solar pool heating systems are sized anywhere between 50%-100% of a swimming pools total surface area. IE: “50% offset” means you are matching 50% of your pool’s surface area to the total surface area of all your solar panels.
If your pool has a total surface area of 400 square feet, 50% offset means you will need a total of 200 square feet of solar panels to heat it.
As a reference, a single 4'x12' solar panel has a surface area of 48 square feet, so a system with (4) 4'x12' solar panels has a total surface area of 192 square feet.
3-4 Month Swimming Season: If you are only looking to add some additional heating during the summer months (3-4 months of warm swimming pool temperatures), 50% offset should be sufficient.
4-6 Month Swimming Season: If you are looking to heat your pool into the shoulder months (4-6 month swimming season), you will want to aim in the 60-80% range.
8-10 Month Swimming Season: If you are looking for a full spring-fall season extension (8-10 month swimming season), you will want to aim for 85%-100% offset.
EXAMPLE:Swimming Pool Size: 16' x 32' (rectangle)
Surface Area(Swimming Pool): 512 square feet
Desired Heating Goal: 4-5 month swimming season (Solar System Offset = 70%)
Recommended Surface Area (Solar Panels): 358 square feet OR roughly (7) 4'x12' panels.

Tips to Protect your Purchase
Verify the condition of your product.
Any product that arrives damaged or defective must be reported within 72 hours of delivery. Once this window has elapsed, the recipient acknowledges that the product has arrived free of damage or defect and accepts full responsibility for the condition of the product. Future concerns relating to the performance or function of the product must be addressed through a warranty claim subject to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s warranty policy.
Use caution when walking near solar collectors.
These products are not designed to be walked or stepped on; such actions may damage the collector and/or riser tubes. Accidental damage during installation is not covered by warranty.
Use only new hardware.
Reusing old hardware has been shown to damage new solar collectors. For warranty coverage to apply, all solar pool heating panels “Collectors” must be installed with new hardware.
Use caution installing rubber couplings.
Damage may result from couplings being pushed too far onto the header manifold, tearing outside riser tubes. This occurs when clamps are left untightened and additional collectors are added. Each side of the coupling should be tightened to the manifold before attempting to insert the other side. Using new hardware WITH internal rubber stoppers virtually eliminates this problem, however caution should still be exercised to mitigate this problem completely.

We live in a 3 bedroom ranch in Indiana with a kidney shaped pool. We have lived here 28 years and never had really bad weather until last year when a cat 2 came thru. We lost 10 trees, a chicken coop and some roofing shingles.
I was originally planning on putting the solar panels on the south facing roof by the pool. Glad I didn't, we have to reroof. What I did was add a roof to the end of the garage. 28ft by 16ft.
All the things I build, I do by myself and I am 77 years old. The roof was so hot, it burned my knees just putting the panels up. You asked for a review a couple times and I said I would when finished.
When I first turned it on the pool was already 80 degrees and in just 4 hours it was 89. I am just today hooking up the automatic temp controller (that my wife just had to have).
Everything in the kit including the panels seem well made and the directions were very easy. I installed 6 panels (4 by 12 ft) and it filled the roof I put up. Everyone is pleased with results and wish we had done it 28 years ago.
(Don't know if it was available back then) . The installation videos I watched said not to get on the panels but I had no choice and being careful, no damage was done. I can very easily give 5 stars for your product.
Now I just have to build a raised deck at the end of the pool before the 4th get together.

Our pool solar panels had to come down to install our new roof. Replacing the four 4x10’ panels was the optimum time. Our other four 4x8’s were recently replaced. The system that I had inherited from purchasing this house had a major flaw in the setup. All the lower & upper mains were locked in place. The thermal expansion and contraction could not take place without damaging the panels over time. They are now installed properly thanks to the paperwork that came with the replacement panels and totally agreed upon by the company that took everything down and reset it. Now it is working great!

Engineering is Excellent. Installation went well and it works great! We have a 24' x 52" deep pool here in Michigan and with 2- 8'x4 panels the water temperature went from 72 degrees to 76 degrees on a day with a high temperature of only 70 degrees!

This system is amazing and has significantly extended the pool season for us! We're extremely satisfied with the purchase. The temp went from mid 50s to mid 70s in a matter of a week or so of using this - which I thought was very good considering that it only came at the cost of running the pool system, which I was already doing anyway to balance the chems in the first week of opening the pool.
Note: we found a local contractor/handyman to install the system for a relatively low cost.
*Since I installed this at the end of last season, I wanted to wait until I had a chance to use it for a few months. no regrets so far.

The guys were on top of their game with information on how many panels that I would need. I only wish that our pool company was as efficient because we are still waiting on them to plaster the pool! Product works great and is pretty easy to install. My package came with a bad air vent that leaked, but I received great customer service that sent a new one right away. I didn't see anything in the instructions about unrolling the panels so they relax ahead of installation, that would have been a big help. I replaced an old system that lasted over 20 years.

I did this install by myself in about 10 hours but would definitely get it done a lot quicker now. After a couple calls to Tyler for some over the phone technical help it was uo and running.
I got a 400 sqft system for my 15'x30' pool. It's been partly to mostly cloudy and about 68 outside almost everyday since I installed this system and the water has gone from 65 degrees at the start to hovering around 82 (with a set temp of 85). The water coming out of the return lines is much warmer than the pool temperature as well. These systems WORK! I would imagine full sun on the panels could turn the pool into a 20000 gallon hot tub!

My son and I replaced the 17 year old 7 panel system that heats our inground pool ( approx. 35K gal.) with your advised replacement kit (12'x4'). The pitch on the roof of the garage was quite steep, at least 40+ degree.

Replaced existing 4 panel setup with the five new panels. Due to significantly different weather this year, I cannot realy compare heat output yet. I am glad, I was able to replace old panels with something very similar but also surprised that market offering is so limited. The replacement panels require more space per panel than the old panels did so I had to drill new holes and move pipe connections. If you are ordering just to replace your existing setup, be aware that. It may be better to order complete setup rather than just panels.

I found these panels easy to install by myself. Needed to lay them in the sun to unfurl first. Quick to join together with provided couplings and caps. Smaller area than my old panels but heat the pool just as well. Delivery was fast and problem free. Satisfied customer.

Excellent company to work with. I was replacing some 15 year old panels that had been springing leaks for several years. The solar panels were well packaged and of high quality. They were very easy to install. One of my panels was leaking, it looked like it had a small cut in it, but they replaced it immediately, no questions asked. Very easy Installation. My neighbor and I completed the installation of 7 panels in less than 2 hours. My pool is warm. When I directed the return only from and to my spa, the temp went from 78-95 in only a couple hours.

Reviewed all types of pool heaters. Gas, heat pump and solar. With my engineering background decided on solar. Called and talked with salesman. Ordered kit to cover 75% of my pool surface. Kit came two days early and was very easy to install on roof. Plumed it in as instructed. Tested for leaks all good.
Took about 10 hrs to complete. Next morning turned in system on an 80 degree day with h full sun. Raised pool from 72 to 85 the first day. Now it’s late June and only need to run part of the day, Water is a comfortable 87-88 degrees awesome system, should of installed years ago. With my variable speed pump it costs less than 50 cents a day to operate.
